Boy Scout Troop 583
And Friends
April 12, 2008
Merit Badge Midway
At the LDS Church, 27827 N Skycrest Count in Valencia. North of Newhall Ranch Road, just off McBean Parkway, turn left on Skycrest and you are there.
Each Scout is strongly encouraged to contact the MB counselors prior to the event. Each scout is expected to provide signed blue cards, updated MB books and writing materials for taking notes. All workshop merit badge counselors must be called prior to the event to complete prerequisites.
This is a Scouting event, so Scouts are expected to be in uniform! There will be am. Classes and pm. classes. This is not a Merit Badge “give a way”, so Scouts may leave with incompletes; but they will be asked to follow-up with a counselor.
Art…am. Only

The second segment of the puzzle patch is drawing to a close. July 31st will be the last day to order the second segment with the mountain and the sunset. Both youth and adults may earn the Duty to God Puzzle Patch. The requirements are simple: learn about the religious awards and make a commitment.
Consider making a presentation at summer camp. Research shows that camp is definitely a place where Scouts think about God. Order the puzzle patch to reinforce Duty to God this summer.
These patches are on a four-year cycle always switching in the month of August. Information on religious awards and sample presentation resources are available from P.R.A.Y
