and adventurous, offers leadership and maturity. The goal of Scouting
is to help boys develop into honorable men through the values of character development,
citizenship, and mental and physical fitness. Scouting is a values-based
program with its own code of conduct as stated by the Cub
Scout Promise and the Boy Scout
Oath & Law. This program prepares
young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them
Scouting's values. What other program can provide boys a chance to go camping, experience
hands on leadership, explore and learn about the outdoors, how to
save a life, and discover new areas of our world. That
is just a few benefits of what Scouting has to offer. 2008 Camporee is Coming!!! Camporee Theme - Discover Adventures in Scouting As all the Boy Scouts know, one of the main competitions is gateways. Scoutmaster (Boy Scout, Cub Scout and Parents) Essentials
Attached below (.PDF) are a collection of different awards for different occasions, different jobs or those special people.
These are just a beginning for you to build on. As a scouter you will soon learn to adapt and to use the resources available to you.
This list was and continues to be made from the ideas and adaptations from folks just like yourselves.
Remember these are A W A R D S.
How you make the presentation is just as important as the award themselves. So ham it up!!
Especially with some of the more humorous awards. Most require about 5 minutes of your time to make, most even less.
If it costs you money then you flunk Scouting 101.
I hope you enjoy these and please don't hog them all for yourself.
