Cub Scout Cup

The Cub Scout Cup is a team-based competition with mental and physical challenges that build teamwork and reinforce Scouting values taught throughout the year. All packs in the Western Los Angeles County Council are invited to participate.

Check-in starts at 7:30 am. Flag ceremony is at 8:30 am.

History

The Cub Scout Cup was started in 2006 by Robert Bell, a leader from Pack 494 in Canyon Country, as part of his Wood Badge ticket. The Cub Scout Cup started with the simple idea that Scouts would go wild at the prospect of winning a giant cup trophy. Several times a year, Cub Scouts have great derbies where they compete individually; here, each den competes as a team, and the den scores are averaged to produce a pack score. The pack with the best score takes home the cup, and bragging rights for a whole year.
